Stitch a Seam
Regular readers may remember that, as part of the 100 Day project, I am running an open session to make an extra quilt or two for Project Linus. They make quilts to give to children in hospital.
As part of this 'Stitch a Seam' session, I will also be teaching English Paper Piecing and helping people to make a coaster from a tumbling block. This will run from 10.30 to 12.00. I hope that some of those attending will also make a block for a quilt.
I will have two quilts on the go, one made mostly by hand in a tumbling block design. The other will be mostly squares, and will be sewn by machine.
You can follow my quilt-making progress (or lack of it!) on Instagram.
If you would like to come along and sew a seam or two, or join the Know How session, making a coaster, I would love to see you. We will be in the cafe at St George's Christian Centre in Ashtead, so you will be able to buy coffee, homemade cakes and lunches, too.
I will provide everything you need for quilt-making.
See you there!
