Design Challenge - Summer Fun
It's time to look at the entries to this month's design challenge - Summer Fun.
We had 6 entries this month, starting with the lightest, and getting darker!

The lovely pastel colours of Sally Roydhouse's Vintage ice Cream Stripes. Sally (Fabric M) said, 'Summer Fun reminds me of seaside, ice cream and stripy deck chairs. I've combined candy colour stripes with a digital illustration I did of a vintage ice cream van, scattered with ice cream cones I stitched for a collage.'

These happy spiders, drawn by 7-year old Travis, are definitely not ones to run away from! Even Little Miss Muffett would approve, I think.

Suzanne Jones's (Heckadoodledo) bright and cheerful Crazy Cuban Musical Crabs suggest dancing on the beach under a bright sun.

Sylvie Heasman's summer fun involves Hiking in Summertime. Sylvie worked under the name of Art on Fabric, but has recently changed her professional name to Palette of Sylvie Heasman or PoSH

The entry from Helen Hodgson (Polly Dextrous) is called Shelling Peas. My sister and I used to love shelling peas with our elderly neighbours, then feeding the shells to the horse which lived along the road. I don't think we ever arranged the peas so artistically though! Helen took photos and played with the size of her design to come up with her final idea.
I think three of the designs show off their details better at the swatch size, so I've done that below:
