Congratulations to Helen Hodgson of Polly Dextrous Designs, whose design Fish Alive has won this month's design competition.

You gave our guest judge, Lynda Lewis, a hard time choosing a winner - she said she hadn't expected it to be so hard!  She asked me to pass on her congratulations to everyone who entered the competition, all the designs are amazing.

However, in the end she chose Fish Alive.  She said, 'I love the colours of the design and that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into it.  I particularly like that the text is handwritten and love the way the verse has continued onto the fish.'

Unfortunately, some of the detail doesn't really show in the fat quarter view in the blog and on Facebook - it is one of the drawbacks of the way we currently run the competition, which we hope to address when we can.  However, you can see it here:

A big Thank You to Lynda for judging and to everyone who entered.  The winning design can be found in our Market Place, along with some of the other entries.  Next month, the theme will be Books and in April we will be designing cheater quilts with a restricted palette.
