Instagram 'Found Patterns' challenge
I don't know about you, but I always feel like the world is full of new possibilities at the beginning of September. Perhaps it's all those years of education when September marked the beginning of a new academic year? Who knows?
Because of that, early September seems like a good time to have an Instagram challenge, to get us back into regular posting.
Starting on Monday, I have 5 prompts for you to spot 'found patterns' - you know the sort of thing. Beautiful patterns you see around you, or, better still, accidental patterns created by the juxtaposition of things, reflections and shadows, whatever you stumble across.
Monday, September 2nd - Outside
Tuesday, September 3rd - Inside
Wednesday, Sept. 4th - Natural
Thursday, Sept. 5th - Man-made
Friday, Sept. 6th - Unexpected
I've deliberately kept the prompts fairly vague, so almost anything goes! And there's quite a bit of overlap. My first post, for Outside, is a man-made object seen outside.
Of course, by their very nature, these are things that you find without warning, and probably not when you're looking for them! But it's also about keeping your eyes open and really looking as you go about your daily life. So, see what you can spot and post a photo on Instagram, on the 'right' day if you can, on another if that's what happens. Use the hashtag #pmppatterns (which we now seem to be sharing with a pattern company, but don't worry about it; we had it first!) so we can find all our efforts together. I may regram some of them and / or use them for a blog post if we have some good patterns to share.
Be inspired!
Happy snapping!
